Episode 21: The New Face of American Manufacturing

US Manufacturing has seen companies and capabilities offshore for decades. Now, due to global issues and supply chain shortages, the US is rapidly looking to regrow its domestic production infrastructure — specifically around aerospace, defense, and energy.

The purpose is not to go back to the same manufacturing solutions that existed previously, but to leapfrog ahead. Thankfully, the US has seen growth in forging new, more advanced manufacturing solutions spearheaded by a move to Additive Manufacturing (AM).

A growing contingent of companies are leveraging AM to unlock designs previously trapped on paper and create unparalleled supply chain flexibility. These include innovative, and forward-thinking organizations, such as SpaceX, Launcher, Aerojet Rocketdyne, Astra, Honeywell, Lockheed Martin, Siemens Energy, and more.

For this on-demand session, we talk with one of the leaders of this new manufacturing movement, Mike Corliss, VP of Technology of Knust-Godwin.
